Side Dishes Starters/Snacks Lunch/Dinner Smashed Cheese Broccoli

Ingredients
- 8 large broccoli pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp onion granules
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- ½ pack Jack’s grated mature cheddar cheese (180g)
Method
- Bring a pan of salted water to the boil, add the broccoli and cook for 6-7 minutes until soft.
- Drain and sprinkle with the onion granules, oregano, paprika, salt and black pepper.
- Squish the broccoli down firmly with a jam jar or solid glass, until about 5mm thick.
- Heat a frying pan until medium hot, add 4 small piles cheese and top with the broccoli.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Fry until the cheese has melted and is golden brown.
- Flip over and fry again until golden and crispy.
- Serve straightaway.
