Desserts Peanut butter Pretzel Brownie

Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 225g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- 4 eggs
- 250g dark soft brown sugar
- 80g self-raising flour
- 120g smooth peanut butter
- 60g dark chocolate or milk chocolate Flipz pretzels
Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan 160°C/ gas mark 4.

Grease and line a 22cm square baking tin.

Place the butter and chocolate into a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water and leave to melt, or place in the microwave for 30 second bursts until melted.

Remove and stir until smooth then set aside to cool slightly.

Meanwhile, place the eggs and sugar into a bowl and whisk for about 5-10 minutes until thickened and foaming.

Pour the melted chocolate onto the eggs and whisk well, then fold in the flour to make a thick batter.

Add the peanut butter in dollops then stir through gently so that it’s marbled, and spoon into the baking tin.

Smooth the top over then lay the pretzels on top.

Transfer to the oven to bake for 25 minutes until just firm.

Remove and allow to cool in the tin for at least 30 minutes before decanting and cutting into squares.
