One Pan Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, roughly chopped
  • 2 carrots, roughly chopped
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 400g Jack’s beef mince 
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 x 440g Jack’s bolognaise sauce
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 pack Jack’s fresh tagliatelle
  • 2/3 pack Jack’s grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 handful basil leaves

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, fan 180°C, gas mark 6.
  2. Heat a sauté pan until hot. Add the oil, onion and carrots and sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the oregano and paprika and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the beef and fry until just browned.
  5. Add the tomato puree and fry for 1 minute.
  6. Stir in the bolognaise sauce then fill both jars with water and add one to the pan.
  7. Stir well and bring to the boil.
  8. Simmer for 5 minutes then stir in the tagliatelle pasta.
  9. Simmer for 5-8 minutes, adding a little more water if necessary.
  10. Layer the mozzarella over the top then season with black pepper.
  11. Leave for another 5 minutes until the pasta is tender and cheese melted.
  12. Top with a little basil and serve straight from the pan.
