Make In the Tin Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 x jar Colman’s apple sauce (155g jar)
  • 1 large egg
  • 60ml maple syrup
  • 60g smooth peanut butter
  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 1 tbsp seeds 

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, fan 180°C, gas mark 6.
  2. Grease a 1kg loaf tin.
  3. Add the apple sauce, peanut butter, maple syrup and egg to the loaf tin and whisk with a fork.
  4. Add the flour and mix to a thick batter.
  5. Smooth to the edges and scatter the seeds on top.
  6. Place in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and risen.
  7. Cool for at least 15 minutes and cut into slices.
