Starters/Snacks Lunch/Dinner Croque Monsieur

Ingredients
- 50g softened butter
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- 150ml milk
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 100g extra mature cheddar cheese, grated
- 100g Jack’s grated mozzarella
- 4 slices white bread
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 2 slices ham
Method
- Tip 15g butter, flour and milk into a saucepan.
- Bring to the boil, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Stir in half the cheeses and mustard then season with salt and black pepper.
- Heat until smooth then set aside.
- Spread bread with remaining butter on each side.
- Spread mustard on 2 slices then top with ham.
- Sprinkle rest of the cheeses over the top and top with another buttered slice of bread.
- Place in air fryer at 200°C for 5 minutes, then turn over and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove and top with the cheese sauce.
- Return to the air fryer and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden and bubbling.
