Starters/Snacks Chilli Garlic Beans
Serves : 2-4
Preparation Time: Ready in 15 Minutes

Ingredients
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 4 cm piece ginger, peeled and finely grated
- 1 red chilli, seeded and finely diced
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 x 400g tin Jack’s chopped tomatoes
- 1 x 400g tin cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 x 400g tin Jack’s red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Charred sourdough, to serve
Method
- Heat a sauté pan until hot. Add the oil and onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add the garlic, ginger and chilli and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the tomato puree and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the tomatoes and beans and season with salt and black pepper
- Bring to the boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 5-6 minutes until hot through and reduced slightly.
- Serve with charred sourdough.
