Scary Biscuit Heads

Ingredients

  • 100g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 12  ginger nut biscuits
  • 48 mini marshmallows
  • 6 wooden skewers
  • 1 green icing pen
  • 1 red icing pen

Method

  1. Preheat the grill to high.

  2. Place the dark chocolate into a bowl and set over a pan of simmering water until just melted, then remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly while you prepare the rest.

  3. Lay 6 biscuits onto an oven tray and place 8 mini marshmallows on each one.

  4. Place under the grill for about 30-45 seconds until the marshmallows are just beginning to go golden brown. Remove from the grill and place a skewer into the centre of the melted marshmallow, so the tip is just at the top of the biscuit.

  5. Top with the remaining biscuits to form a sandwich, pressing down gently - the stick is the body, and the biscuit sandwich the head. Leave to set for a few minutes.

  6. Spoon the melted dark chocolate over the biscuits until totally coated then set onto a non-stick or greaseproof lined tray. Repeat with the remaining biscuits and melted chocolate, then place into the fridge (or a cool place) to set for at least 1 hour.

  7. Pipe a scary face on each biscuit with the icing pens.

  8. Leave to set, then serve (with a bow tie if you fancy!)
